The ultimate in softness, Brushed Alpaca Silk lace weight yarn is a fluffy delight, beautiful to knit with and to wear. Available in over 30 unique, semi-solid shades, all dyed by hand in the Fibresmith studio.

Suggested needles: 3 – 6mm (US 2-10) needles
Tension: 32 sts = 10cm/4in (on 3.25mm needles)

Lustrous, smooth and soft, baby Suri Alpaca fleece is wrapped around a silk core, then brushed to produce a supersoft yarn with a light and airy halo and a matte finish. This yarn is wonderfully versatile and can be used in a wide range of projects. It knits up beautifully on its own on a wide range of needle sizes and can be used as a light DK through to chunky. Combine it with our Australian Merino yarns to add warmth and texture without weight to jumpers, scarves and cowls.
There may be slight variations in tone and shade between skeins, this is part of the process and unique beauty of hand dyeing. I recommend buying enough for your project when ordering and alternating rows from each skein when joining.
