There may be slight variations in tone and shade between skeins, this is part of the process and unique beauty of hand dyeing. We recommend buying enough for your project when ordering and alternating rows from each skein when joining.
This is a super light and airy yarn and can be worked at many different gauges. It produces gossamer-like items when large needles or hooks are used and soft, fluffy items at tighter gauges. It can also be carried with another yarn to add a delicate haze and to produce a surprisingly warm fabric.
Ultrafine kid mohair has a natural pearly lustre and dyes beautifully. Two strands of mulberry silk hold the mohair fibres in place to add radiance and strength. Gentle enough for next to skin wear.
Fibresmith Hand Dyed combines a range of repeatable, core colours that work beautifully together and are available ongoing and on all yarn bases as well as one-off colour ways, the result of testing and playing with the dyes.
