Sashiko is named after the ancient Japanese mending technique, which uses beautifully uniform, thick stitches to repair worn areas of cloth. My representation is more haphazard, less planned, and embraces the beauty of overlapping marks and the new shapes they create.
Screenprinted with great care, there may be very slight variations in the design but, if present, these will be minor and are part of the natural charm of handprinted fabric.
