Mending in Seaglass : Canvas Project Panel by Maze & Vale

Hand printed in the Fibresmith warehouse, this project panel features the Mending design in custom mixed Seaglass (a soft green/blue) ink on a white 100% organic cotton canvas basecloth. Mending is inspired by sashiko, the ancient Japanese mending technique, which uses beautifully uniform, thick stitches to repair worn areas of cloth. My representation is more haphazard, less planned, and embraces the beauty of overlapping marks and the new shapes they create.

Each project panel has a minimum size of 50cm by 55cm (20″ by 22″ ), larger than our patchwork panels and on heavier basecloths, making them perfect for projects where you want a striking design, such as pouches, totes, cushion covers, etc.

Printed using solvent free, non toxic, environmentally friendly inks in custom mixed colours. Screen printed by hand with great care, there may be very slight variations in the designs but, if present, these will be minor and are part of the natural charm of handprinted fabric.

Wash in cold on the gentle cycle and hang dry or tumble dryer on low, iron on either side.
