Mending in Alabaster : Cotton/Linen Patchwork Panel by Maze & Vale
$9.00
Hand printed in the Fibresmith warehouse, this patchwork panel features the Mending design in classic Alabaster white ink on a natural flax 55% linen 45% cotton basecloth. Mending is inspired by sashiko, the ancient Japanese mending technique, which uses beautifully uniform, thick stitches to repair worn areas of cloth. My representation is more haphazard, less planned, and embraces the beauty of overlapping marks and the new shapes they create.
These patchwork panels have a minimum size of 34cm by 45cm (13.5″ by 17.5″), perfect for creating small projects or patchwork for quilts or dressmaking – you can download our bonus Freeform Patchwork instructions here to get you started.
Printed using solvent free, non toxic, environmentally friendly inks in custom mixed colours. Screen printed by hand with great care, there may be very slight variations in the designs but, if present, these will be minor and are part of the natural charm of handprinted fabric.
Wash in cold on the gentle cycle and hang dry or tumble dryer on low, iron on either side.
