A unique hand dyed and block printed organic cotton made in Jaipur, India. Indigo Moon is slightly heavier (and much wider) than the other Merchant & Mills block prints, it is more like a soft canvas. Suitable for dresses, tops, shirts, and trousers that require a bit of structure.
These block printed cloths are printed by hand using traditional techniques and coloured with natural dyes. They will never be perfectly printed like a digital printed cloth and have variations in the dye but we find this part of their charm. Spot size: 5cm
This fabric is indigo dyed. For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running, however indigo will continue to get lighter over time as it will never truly fix.
